Well now you can, more an more business are switching to on-line software or webware for their business needs.

So what are the differences between webware and traditional software packages, well webware is normally done as a Saas (Software As A Service Model) which means instead of paying hefty upfront fees for software licences to be installed on your computer you pay a small pay as you go rental fee for using the software per month. This is also generally based on the number of users, data storage and the number features that you require in the software.

There are many vendors out there at the moment who can provide virtually any software that you need and use currently on your desktop such as accounting, e-mail, CRM(Customer Relationship Management), Office Suite Applications, Project management, video conferencing, database, web page design and much more.

But what about security of my information on-line?. Well most of these applications allow you to connect to them via a secure connection and also require a user name and password. Some also even allow users rights management for example you may want staff to have a certain access level, managers on level and customers another level.

So in summary what are the benefits of going to Webware:

Greatly Reduced Software Costs.

No need to worry about backing up your information in most cases.

Access your information 24/7 anywhere in the world via the internet. From you mobile phone, PDA, laptop

No need to install software on your computer.

Less hard disk drive space is used on you computer as not applications are installed and most storage of documents and files is off site and not on your computer.

As the software is web based there is no need to worry about your software not working on different Operating Systems such as Apple, Windows, Linux etc.

You can significantly reduce your time and travelling costs be using web conferencing software.

You can significantly reduce your time and travelling costs be using on-line training software.

So where can I see samples of Web Ware in Action:

Bison IT Webware

On-line training, custom on-line databases, custom DIY web sites. When you found a lead, you mailed in a resume and cover letter, crossed your fingers, and waited for the phone to ring.

To put it mildly, things have changed. Most job opportunities aren’t listed in the classified pages anymore. Your cookie-cutter resume and cover letters no longer cut it. And on top of all that, today’s job market is tough, the worst since the Great Depression.

The old places people used to look for jobs, like newspaper ads, are dying. Even the online employment sites you might know about, like Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com or HotJobs, are a dead end for most people. Here’s why:

The job often doesn’t exist. The job listings at these big-name employment sites are stale. They’re often copied directly from company Web sites or internal applicant tracking systems, which are chronically out-of-date. Worse, many employers post phantom jobs at these sites, simply to harvest resumes and fill their applicant database.
